Book Review...

...of a sort. I haven't even finished it yet!

Whilst perusing the book/magazine section at my local Wal-Mart yesterday, I came across the book Little Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner. I'll admit to having read some "chick lit" books before, and not been too impressed with them. I have yet to find a book written by a woman about being a woman and a mother that strikes a familiar note with me.

This book, however, comes pretty close. True, I'm not a new mother anymore, but the new moms in this book experience some of the same things I did when I had my kids. You know what I'm talking about, mothers out there, the exhaustion, the very low desire to have intimate relations with the mate, annoyance at in-laws. Weiner doesn't exactly nail it, but she gets pretty close.
