Ticket to ride
Or, in this case, ticket to fly. I booked the flight for the Reno trip! I'm starting to get excited, and a little bit anxious. I have a 2 1/2 hour stop in Dallas!
I also managed to go up to the eye doctor today and get new contacts and order new glasses. I'm ashamed to admit I flirted with the optician... Well, he was good looking, and he smelled pretty good. I appreciate nice smelling aftershave. I actually told him that if I was drinking I'd jump all over him! Then I buried my face in my hands and mumbled "I'm a married woman!"
So it was almost 75 degrees here today...and it's going to snow tonight. No wonder my sinuses are so out of whack.

Hey, maybe the contacts had something to do with the head spinning. Nanny G. had that problem till she got the right contacts. It took a couple of tries till the optician got the right ones for her.
I thought DFW was boring. I was there on the way to Hawaii. I was also there when I went to California. Both times it was basically boring. Definitely not one of the best airports I've been in.
Posted by: junebee at March 13, 2006 09:42 PMWell, don't forget a good book for your trip! If all else fails, reread Outlander! That's what I do when I need a good, familiar read!
Posted by: Anna at March 13, 2006 10:02 PMI've got so many books...it looks like a library exploded in my house. I was thinking about going to the library and getting The Mists of Avalon; it's been a while since I read that, but we'll see. I'll have to find something because I won't have my laptop (no blogging! NOOOOOOOOO!); maybe I'll have to dust off a pen and one of my journals to keep from having withdrawal symptoms!
Posted by: GroovyVic at March 14, 2006 06:37 AMI have Mists of Avalon on my bookshelf...just a couple shelves below the Outlander series! Try Constance O'Day Flannery for more trips through time.
Posted by: Anna at March 14, 2006 09:43 AMI avoid DFW at all costs. That airport is annoying. At least you have 2.5 hours there - that's about how long it takes to make a connection and not miss your flight.
And I am giggling about what you said to the optician. Methinks you need some action.
Posted by: Julie at March 14, 2006 09:43 PMJulie, Julie, Julie...do not get me started on the whole "action" thing. It would be disrespectful to my husband!
