Bite Me and Prosper
It's out there...an "I Hate Star Wars" blog.
Okay, Trekkie...for the record I don't like Star Trek or any of the spawns. Not...even....Shatner.... Dammit, Jim!
And while Palpatine got a bit, er...excited about Luke ("I can feeeeeeeel your anger!" -- come on, bub, don't wet your pants or anything), I still say the SW movies are better than a dude with fake ears and chickies in go-go boots.
Young Obi-Wan is way sexier than Kirk!!!

Here's a wild thought. It *IS* possible to like one without dissing the other!
Posted by: Brian B at March 16, 2006 12:20 PMYeah, I know that, and I shouldn't throw stones...but do those Trekkies know that???
Posted by: GroovyVic at March 16, 2006 01:54 PMAnd what exactly is wrong with fake ears?!
I read someplace that the clamshell style cellphones were designed based on Star Trek communicators.
I liked the first Star Wars movie when I saw it but I think I only saw one of the sequels (prequels?).
There's just nothing like the 60's kitsch and bare-bones special effects (which were revolutionary for their time) of Star Trek. Beam me up!
Posted by: junebee at March 16, 2006 02:18 PMUmm... I'm a trekkie.... and I don't diss Star Wars in general -- just Jar Jar Binks and that whiny Anniken Skywalker.
Posted by: Brian B at March 16, 2006 05:04 PMI don't like Jar Jar either....and Anakin is whiny...but my god, it's pretty obvious why I watch the the prequels.
I think the only Star Trek episode I ever saw was the one with the tribbles.
Ah well, that's the beauty of everyone having opinions...
Posted by: GroovyVic at March 16, 2006 06:21 PMWell..I popped over to here because..well, your name is Fiddle de de..and my daugter's name is Scarlett...and my IRL business is a play on Fiddle dee dee too..
And NOW you are talking Star Wars...and I adore SW to pieces.
I just like you now.
So, Hi..
Thanks for stopping by! I wanted to name my daughter Katie Scarlett, but Husband put his foot down about that, but I did get to keep the Katie part.
