"I don't wanna miss a thing..."

"Embrace the horror!"

I'm ashamed to admit that Armageddon is one of my favorite movies. Even though I loathe Ben Affleck and Owen Wilson, I watch this movie over and over.

So imagine my surprise when Gary links to....

THIS!!!

I believe that's where the idea for Armageddon came from. Many years ago there was a lot of talk about what would happen if a meteor were to hit the earth and the speculation that that's what caused the death of the dinosaurs. (I like Armageddon as well as Independence Day just because they are fun and silly movies.)

I confess that I watch Armageddon whenever it comes on.

I also confess that I get a little teary every time Bruce Willis says goodbye to Liv Tyler.

And if you tell anybody, you'll be sorry!

1 in 6,250 chance? We have better odds of getting politicians to be honest. Or getting liberals to stop all this PC claptrap. Or finding a cure for cancer. Sheesh.

Robbo, your secret is safe with me.

Junebee, 1 in 6,250 isn't Vegas odds, but it's more likely than, say, dying in an airlier crash.

Actually, the geological record indicates that the Earth may have been hit by TWO major impacts in the past, the most well known being the Chixulub event. Astronomers agree that it's not a matter of IF the Earth will be struck again, but WHEN.

Ben Affleck. Does he EVER smile when he's with Jennifer Garner?

Posted by: agent bedhead at April 5, 2006 04:08 PM

No, that special smile is reserved for his heart of hearts, Matt Damon.
