Robert the Llama Butcher gets close to home

Almost literally, with this post about Dan Rice.

I don't know how the whole clown thing got started today, but Robbo found a way to link clowns and the Civil War...and I commented that HEY! I've actually participated in Dan Rice Days in Girard, PA. (Girard isn't too far from Erie, ya know.)

Anyhoo, yeah, we've been there. Dan Rice spent time in Girard, it's a big deal, there's a statue in the center of town the he put up. Why was I there? Well, as a Civil War reenactor, naturally.

Yeah, one year I mourned over my husband's "dead" body, and when a Confederate tried to take Husband's saber, I grabbed it and yelled "Get away, you Rebel scum!"

Caught up in the moment. Got to maintain the first person impression.

Something tells me I need to hightail it to Robert's area and take him out for a drink.
