Something to do
While the eggs are a-boilin' I'm wandering through Blogaritaville, and BrianB has this interesting post about looking up your birthdate on Wikipedia.
So I did.
Like I told B, I already know that Paris The Skank Hilton shares my birthday, as well as Michael Jordan, but I did not know that:
1865 - American Civil War: Columbia, South Carolina burns as Confederate forces flee from advancing Union forces
1933 - The magazine Newsweek is published for the first time
1944 - World War II: Battle of Eniwetok Atoll begins. The battle ends in an American victory on February 22
1970 - GroovyVic is born and the world rejoices (tee hee!)
And who else was born on 2/17:
1942 - Huey P. Newton, American politicial activist (d. 1989) - oh my
1953 - Janice Dickinson, American model - yikes!
1963 - Larry the Cable Guy, American Comedian - YAY!!!
February 17 is also World Cabbage Day.
What ever....

My dad said he saw Larry the Cable Guy and the show was hilarious.
And hey, there's a Civil War event in there for ya!
