Whodunit?

Who's the BASTARD that stole all those VA social security numbers????

Husband tells me tonight to keep an eye on the bills and so forth, now that his SS# has been stolen, along with all the other veterans'.

Shred everything with name, address, account numbers, etc on them, including the address labels on bulk mail that comes to you with your address on it. I shred everything with any personal info on it, but then......I am a bit more paranoid than the average guy.

We burn everything, so we're safe on our end. It's just galling, frustrating, and frightening, as I don't want Husband to suddenly have huge loans and a thousand credit cards.

Oh that REALLY sucks. I just read on ABC's website where it is supposedly safer to get your credit card and bank statements on the Internet than in the mail. I really worry about my neighbor, as SOON as the mail comes in the afternoon, she writes out a check for a bill and puts it in her mailbox with the little flag up. And it sits there all night long. I know it isn't my busines but...

Junebee, I know what you're talking about. I don't even like to leave birthday cards in the mail overnight! Husband has us paying all our bills online anyway, which I don't like, but he thinks it's so great.
