Post-Fourth Post

I hate mid-week holidays, don't you? Husband had Monday off (oh he of the compressed work schedule), worked Tuesday and then had yesterday off.

Anyway, much of our Fourth was spent doing odd jobs around the house. Well, Husband and I did, the kids pretty much played and made noise. But I got a lot of laundry done, and Husband got the basement shelves rearranged.

I've made the decision to put some of the Civil War reenacting clothing up on eBay. I'm a little sad, but it's clothing for a young boy, and Son is just too tall now.

Just so you don't think we didn't do some sort of celebrating, we went to a birthday/4th of July party. I wound up yakking with the wife most of the night about homeschooling!

We tried to see some fireworks, but as it turns out there are too damn many trees out here. We could only hear them. Daughter fell asleep anyway.

But, in sum, it was a pretty good day.

Now, run off and snicker over al-Gore III getting busted for doing 1000 mph in a Pius!
