KABOOOOOOOM!

Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I finish posting that there's nothing worth blogging about, lightning strikes.

Literally!

One of our trees got hit by lightning this afternoon. Oddly enough, it was one of the dead ones, but still. There are pieces of that tree all over our yard now!

It was something, I'll tell you. A big, cracking BOOM and the brightest flash of light I've ever seen. The flash seemed to just take over everything.

The kids and I are okay; the tree is far enough away from the house that nothing hit us, and any bits of tree only made it as far as our garage door.

You think someone is trying to tell me something?
