Goin' To Skewl
Tomorrow is the first day of school...and I hate to admit it, but I'm really looking forward to it.
I jumped out of bed and happily started sorting the necessary school supplies for each child and loading their backpacks. I made sure the juice for lunches was put in the fridge so it would be thoroughly chilled and ready to be placed in the Pirates of the Caribbean lunch box. All the new clothes have been laundered, and outfits for each child, right down the the socks, are laid out and ready to be worn. The spanking new shoes, so new they practically gleam, are lined up, pointing towards the door.
Am I a little anxious?
To be honest, Daughter won't officially start preschool until next Tuesday. This week is all about orientation for the little people, so I get one more week with my baby.
But it's kind of sad, in a way. This will be the first time in eight years that I'll be (gasp!) alone. My babies are growing up.
