Weekend Wrap-Up
I have somehow managed to go back in time. I’ve gone back twenty years and now look remarkably like my fifteen year old self, although without those HUGE glasses and spiked hair. Thanks to the magic combination of what I’ll delicately call “femininity,” wearing my glasses, and that sweet devil Coca-Cola, I now literally have what is vulgarly referred to as a “pizza face.”
Yesterday I wore contacts, to let my face breath, and also because right where my glasses sit on my nose there’s a big growth. Alright, it’s a big painful zit, but it looks like I’m trying to grow another nose or something. It’s disgusting.
I know, stop drinking that damn Coca-Cola, but I’m weak and pathetic, I just had to drink it. Better that that’s my vice du jour as opposed to something really bad for me.
MOVING ON…
Daughter’s birthday was nice, and she certainly had a good time unwrapping her gifts. I have to say I really made a great cake this year, opting to use sweetened whipped cream instead of canned frosting. And it wasn’t Cool-Whip either, I whipped the heavy cream myself. I highly recommend this, as it really cuts down on the sweetness factor.
Actually, the weekend was pretty quiet. Son went over to a friend’s house yesterday to play and Husband worked, so it was peaceful around here. Daughter was busy enjoying her new toys and what not.
Nothing earth shaking, at least not yet. I haven’t made the rounds to all the other blogs and such, and as Husband has the day off today, I doubt I’ll have anything of importance to post today anyway.
