It Never Turns Out the Same

Last night I attempted to prepare some Paula Deen recipes for supper. Why is it that they never turn out the way the do on TV? I followed the recipes to the letter and still nothing turned out right.

You're saying...what did you fix? Cheeseburger meatloaf and crunchy red potatoes.

How can I screw up a meatloaf? I don't know, but I managed to.

The only good thing I can say is that no one got sick.

My grandmother used to just toss whatever she had lying around into her meatloaf. I seem to recall seeing traces of Froot Loops in there at one point.

I use a really good recipe from Emeril, except you have to cut down on the amount of onions. For some reason that guy likes to use alot of onions in his recipe. It's called Mom's meatloaf and it's on the Food TV website.

I haven't tried to make any of Paula Deen's recipes though they always sounds delicious.

I have really good luck with Paula Deen's dessert recipes, but then, I enjoy making desserts more than main courses.

Sometimes I have to cut back, or cut out, certain spiced that she uses, but now that I made up some of her House Seasoning I use that in everything. Last week I made a variation of her beefy cheesy mac and the family really liked it.
