Our Day Out

Since Husband had to work today, I took the kids out for lunch and a movie.

We hit Eat n' Barf, then the bookstore, where I dropped $100 on books for me and the kids. Well hell! I can't walk out of a bookstore and not get myself something, now can I?

We'd planned on going to the movies with a friend of mine, who's son is in Son's class, so they're friends too. Friend Of Mine led me into Christopher and Banks, where I slapped down ye olde Visa card on some new clothes for myself.

Poo. I'm sick of buying my clothes at friggin' Wal-Mart. I deserve something nice, don't I?

And then, Friend, her husband, their two kids, and me and my kids all trooped in to see Santa Claus 3.

Eh. I didn't hate it...but the previews interested me more. A movie about the Nativity? You bet I'm going to take the kids to that!

And Charlotte's Web? Yeah, I'll see it, and that will probably make me cry harder than the '70's animated version. This updated version has farting cows...and well, I have a sick sense of humor.

But Dakota Fanning? Hello? Is she the only child actor in Hollyweird?

A good day, but tiring.
