There's No Place Like Home!

Yeah, we're home; we actually got back last night (Saturday) and I am not lying when I tell you that I actually sang the praises of being in my own home. Why is it that, despite all my efforts, my family and I always get a damn smoking room? Everything stinks!

The place we stayed was an out-of-the-way Mom n' Pop place, and it was nice, clean, comfortable (it even had a kitchenette), so I'm not complaining about that. I just want to know why we always get a smoking room.

And I'm thanking SIL again for telling me that's where her high school friends went to tryst; I spent every night wondering how many horny teens did the dirtydirty on the bed I was sleeping on.

Favorite BIL said he wanted to see lots of stuff in this here blog about our gathering, and I'm sorry to say that I'm just not going into all of that. It would take up too much space! I'll say that I a) told Lazy SIL to make the damn stuffing (it was Stove-Top after all); b) I didn't get drunk; c) I helped out, although not as much as I should have; d) Daughter only had one accident; e) I told the in-laws a new place to hang mistletoe...on their belts.

And yes, I did get to spend time with my parents as well. Not enough time, but the younglings stayed with my folks for one night, so everyone was happy.

Okay! Got laundry to do!

I know the feeling. When we got back from Canada this summer, I nearly bent down and kissed the carpet. Hey, maybe I did (under the guise of unpacking the large suitcase on the floor, of course!)
