All I Want For Christmas

Last night Husband and I had the yearly conversation about Christmas presents. Specifically presents for the younglings, but he asked what I'd already gotten for him, blahblahblah. I told him that I'm not going to ask for anything this year; I figure the high-speed satellite Internets stuff is enough.

I did remind him that I have a wish list on Amazon, to which he said he knew.

Long story short, I told him I'm not asking for anything, though. If I don't circle several things in a catalog, he has no clue. And it looks like I'll be shopping for the kids' presents alone, again, this year.

Now, I have to take our artificial Christmas trees over to the school this morning. Yes, I volunteered our trees; we don't use them anymore and the school needs them for the Christmas program. The PTO was asking, so I said I'd haul them in. Ungrateful bitches! Well, not my friend NutterButter (her choice of alias). She's glad of the help, but those other catty snots? Not so much.

I was just thinking of this: Christmas should not be abbreviated as "x-mas" but as "M.W.F.M." because it is nothing but More Work For Mothers. All the buying, planning, packing, decorating, wrapping, and sending, and cooking. Yup, it's up to the mothers.

Oops. Sorry to rant on your blog.

Not looking forward to the PTO stuff when my kids start school.
