Gettysburg Homesick Blues

This is the time of year when Husband and I would make our annual trek to Gettysburg. Not as reenactors, as "regular people." This picture is from our last trip, back in 2002; Son was almost three years old. He had a blast exploring Devil's Den with his daddy.

*sigh*

Is it weird that Gettysburg is my favorite place to go? I know that place like the back of my hand. I just love it there! I love it best in the fall, and I'm "homesick" now, I'd love to just pull Son out of school and take off for a while.

Really, I love it that much.

I told Husband we should offer tours ; we know where there's a great winery...Think of it, a wine and battlefield tour. And we'd even dress in period clothing!
